The head of acquisitions at the international VOD platform Doc Alliance Films and documentary programmer for the largest art-house cinema in Prague, Kino Světozor.

 

Born in Czech Republic and brought up in Malta until the late ‘90s. She began her studies at Charles University in Prague in philosophy and sociology, after that she studied documentary film at London University of the Arts. In the UK she worked at various film festivals, e.g. Sheffield Doc Fest. 

 

Since 2009 she worked mainly on projects supporting film professionals in documentary film at the Institute of Documentary Film in Prague. She joined the Doc Alliance Films team in April 2011 and since then has taken care of the programme and development of the curated VoD platform DAFilms.com. 

 

Doc Alliance is the result of a creative partnership of 7 key European documentary film festivals: CPH:DOX Copenhagen, Doclisboa, Docs Against Gravity FF, DOK Leipzig, FID Marseille, Jihlava IDFF and Visions du Réel Nyon. It offers over 1600 documentaries accessible across the globe for streaming or legal download. The aim of the Doc Alliance initiative is to advance the documentary genre, support its diversity and continuously promote quality creative documentary films.
