TEAM
The DOKer team is a community of like-minded people: directors, cinematographers, sound directors, producers and specialists in other fields, but all passionate enthusiasts for nonfiction cinema. The team was formed by itself during the regular film screenings of the DOKer Project. Everyone in the team has an important role to play.

IRINA SHATALOVA
DIRECTOR AND PRODUCER
After graduating from VGIK in 2007, the cinematography workshop under Vadim Yusov, Irina devoted herself to documentaries, finding work in this branch of filmmaking more challenging than in others. She has made 20 films as DoP, winning numerous prizes for her accomplishments. Inspired by producing, she has completed a production workshop at the New York Film Academy and the course of young European producers «Emerging Producers» in Jihlava, Czech Republic. Her first feature film LINAR was released in 2013, successfully screened and awarded internationally. In 2011 Irina founded an independent screening project DOKer.
NASTIA TARASOVA
PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Graduate from Moscow-based VGIK, department of directing. For over 10 years has been making documentaries as a director and producer. Her short movies Faithful, No Borders, Children of the Great Lake, The Old Dacha and others have taken part in most prestigious festivals around Russia & Europe (DOK Leipzig, IDFF Jihlava, The Kodak European Showcase for New Talent during Cannes IFF, Message to Man IFF, etc.) and have won numerous awards. Her first full-length film Linar was released in 2013, successfully screened and awarded internationally with premiere in Thessaloniki Documentary Film Festival as the Opening Film. Realized more than 5 international projects as a co-producer. Tarasova is a founding member the DOKer Screening Project and Festival.
ALYONA CHEPOROVA
CHIEF TRANSLATOR
Graduate from the Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages named after Maurice Thorez. Worked as an editor at Radio Moscow World Service. For more than 15 years has been teaching at various faculties of RANEPA University. She is the author of several linguistic courses and programs. Experienced in PR (content manager of the Public Relations Department of the National Bank TRUST (2006-2009). Recently, fascination with cinema has led her to the translation of several film scripts and subtitles to released movies.
SERGEI KACHKIN
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR EXTERNAL RELATIONS | SELECTION COMMITTEE
Graduate from Marina Razbezhkina's School of Documentary Film and Theatre. Since 2006 works as a director, producer and cinematographer of documentaries. In 2007 participated in the course "Leaders of Culture, Filmmakers" in the United States. A participant of multi-day master classes of filmmakers Alexander Sokurov, Rafi Pitts (UK), film critic Tue Steen Muller (Denmark), producer Iikka Vehkalahti (Finland). Head of the project department of the Moscow Co-Productions Forum Moscow Business Square (since 2011), which was held in the framework of the Moscow International Film Festival. The organizer of an educational seminar in Perm Flahertiana ADA Workshop. The premiere of his first feature film On the way home was held at the Krakow Film Festival in 2012. Subsequently, the film was shown on dozens of TV channels in the world. In 2016 completed the next film Perm-36. Reflection.
TATYANA SOBOLEVA
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF INDUSTRIAL PROGRAMS | SELECTION COMMITTEE
Director, screenwriter and producer. Graduated from VGIK, department of the documentary film directing in 2004. In succeeding years made more than 20 documentaries and serias that successfully participated in International Film Festivals and were shown on TV. The last movies Two sides of one horse and Siberian Floating Hospital. Participant of European industrial programs to create documentaries since 2011 (Ex-Oriente, Dragon Forum, Baltic Sea Forum, Below Zero). In 2017 became a participant of the Berlinale Talents.
MARIA KOZLOVA
DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR | HEAD OF PHOTO DEPARTMENT
Graduated from VGIK (screenwriting department in 2004, directing — in 2006). Author of the documentary trilogy about the life of the mountaineers: Cheese, Ursdon: the territory of Loneliness and Over the Black Mountains; short films I love, The German Blood and others. Participant and winner of many domestic and foreign Film Festivals. Also works as a screenwriter and an independent photo artist. Creats graphic paintings in her own unique technique under the pseudonym Mash Ka since 2011.
