ABOUT
A documentary film which recounts the lives of passengers travelling on the longest railway route in the world. The director tells the stories and fortunes of ordinary Russians met by chance on the Moscow-Vladivostok train. The endless journey is a metaphor of the country in perpetual motion, while the passengers' stories form a social portrait of contemporary Russian society.
DIRECTOR
RODION ISMAILOV
Was born in Azerbaijan. In 1998 graduated from Saint Petersburg State University of Cinematography and Television, specialized in film-directing. 1997 - 1999 - General Director of «Deboshir Film Studio». 2000 - 2005 - President of Saint Petersburg Fund «Independent Cinema Fund». Since 2009 he is the director and producer in producing centre «DC Film». Author of films: Nomads (2010), My kith and kin (2013), Third-class travel (2017).
