THE MINERAL DREAMS

The age of a typical roadside stone is about two billion years old. Even if a human interaction with a stone lasts for 1 day, it will take about one trillionth of its life for the stone. The stone is the god of time, pointing out to man its relativity. Our documentary is a reflection about time and space through a mineral.

TIMOFEI ZUBROV-ANDREEV

 

Born in Pskov. Graduated from screenwriting department of St. Petersburg State Institute of Cinematography (workshop of Y.N. Klepikov). His graduation script was published in the Art of Cinema magazine. In 2019 Zubrov-Andreev received a grant for studying at St. Petersburg School of New Cinema. Among the documentary films Zubrov-Andreev has released as director, scriptwriter and film editor are Mineral Dreams (2023), Diary of Observations over Nature and Human Labour Activity (2022). The films participated in Sheffield Doc/Fest (2023), Lucania Film Festival (2024), Moscow International Documentary Film Festival (2022 and 2024).
