In 1917, during the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia, hundreds of families, partisans of the fallen Tsar and Imperial Russia, ran away from the communism and took refuge in all Europe. One hundred year later, the homesickness is still alive.
DIRECTOR
ALEXIS ZELENSKY
Franco-Russian filmmaker. After studying Mathematics in Paris, Alexis completed a Master's degree in Political Sciences in Chile. He has directed various documentaries in different countries of the world (France, Togo, Niger, Chile, Russia, ...) some of these films were broadcast in festival (ImagéSanté Festival of Liège, Festival PointDoc, FIFB Montreal, Luxor African Film Festival, Festival de Cine de Bogotá ... ) and on TV channels like TV5 Monde, CineBrasil TV, Canal Futura. Alexis has also directed children's film workshops at the Robert Lynen Cinematheque in Paris. Currently, he lives in Brazil and is a professor at the School of Visual Art of Parque Lage (Rio de Janeiro). He is also making a documentary series for CineBrasil Tv, as well as a documentary for SESC-SP on the theme of immigration to Brazil. At the same time, Alexis is passionate about black and white digital photography and has set up his own laboratory where he reveals his photographs. His work has been published in POSI + TIVE Magazine.
