When I was kid, I had a terrible problem with stuttering and now that I wanted to make a film and act in it, no one helped me. But I am making a film that I will direct in front of the camera and act behind the scenes! This is my daily life. Are you ready to hear?

HASSAN MOKHTARI

Born in Mianeh, Iran, Hassan Mokhtari studied Software Engineering, Translation, and independently trained in film directing. He works as a screenwriter, director, and video artist, dividing his time between Mianeh and Tehran. He has directed over ten experimental shorts, video art pieces, and documentaries, with works screened and awarded at international festivals worldwide. His acclaimed films Mutual Coffin and Dancing With Rainbow have participated in more than 30 festivals globally; Dancing With Rainbow was a finalist at the 2021 Busan International Film Festival (Oscar-qualifying) and named one of the Best Documentary Shorts in Calcasieu, USA. Mokhtari has served on juries at national and international festivals, including Hollywood Weekly (2020), Aflakian Short Film Festival (2021), and Brooklyn SciFi Film Festival (2024).
