An old Bedouin riding his camel can’t believe his eyes: a woman dressed in a big, compact armour and a bizarre helmet is studying an insignificant rock. Astronauts in the desert of Oman... Or is it Mars?

VANESSA DEL CAMPO
Spanish filmmaker based in Belgium. Graduated with a master in film at LUCA School of Arts in Brussels, and has also conducted film studies in Barcelona and Cuba. In 2019, she was part of the jury of the Nest film student competition at San Sebastian Film Festival and was invited to participate at IDFA Academy. Vanessa del Campo’s two previous short fiction films, Lollies and Pepita were screened and awarded internationally. Her last short documentary Mars, Oman was premiered at Visions du Reel 2019, where it received the IDFA Talent Award.
