GIRLS ON FIRE

All-girls team ADYG are on their way to the legendary kids’ championship to prove that they love, are able to and have the right to play football in the face of the prevailing traditions in their native Northern Caucasus that do not welcome women doing such kind of sport.

NASTIA TARASOVA

Film director, editor, music producer. Graduated from the Ural State University with a degree in journalism (2001) and The Russian State University of Cinematography with a degree in film directing (2006). Is mostly involved in the production of documentaries. The director of a number of short films: The Old Dacha (2003), The Light of the White Sea (2004), Children of the Great Lake (2005), Faithful (2007), The Unemployed (2008). She also has full-length features to her credit: Linar (2013) and Arctic Alchemy (2015). Winner of numerous non-fiction film awards, both domestic and foreign.The film Girls on Fire (2021) is made in the framework of the BRICS documentary project Kids and Glory about children’s football under the guidance of the famous Chinese director Lu Chuan. Since 2015, program-director of the Moscow International Documentary Film Festival Doker. In 2019 completed a course of music production at DJ Groove’s Audioschool. Produces music under the name of Sovatara.
