    Two cotton farming families in southern Xinjiang faced various challenges during the busy harvest season. They rallied together with one goal in mind: to sell their cotton before the market price drops below 10 yuan per kilogram.

    GUOYI LIU

    Guoyi Liu is currently a Director and Head of the International Communication Program Department at the China Central Newsreel and Documentary Film Studio (Group).
    She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cologne, Germany.

    2017: Official selection at the 2nd Chinese Women Artists Video Art Festival in Mexico.
    2018: Official selection at the IFEMA – International Female Film Festival Malmö, Sweden.
    “Fabric of Lives" (first documentary feature)
    The film was selected for the International Film Panorama section at the 26th Shanghai International Film Festival 2024.

    It was included in the Docs for Sale section at the 2024 International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA).

    In 2024, it was nominated for Best Feature Documentary at the 6th Hainan Island International Film Festival.
