ABOUT
The vertiginous Bolivian highland. The hard working day of the miner family Cruz with impressing pictures and powerful sound atmospheres. During the film, no information is provided by an Off - Speaker or any other accompanying Off – Commentaries. In 2014, Armin Thalhammer started out to the mines of the Cerro Rico with a team of five young film-makers as possibly one of the last who will be able to document the process of silver mining.
DIRECTOR
ARMIN THALHAMMER
Born in 1988 in a small village in lower Bavaria, Germany. He was running through the neighborhood with his fathers camera even before he learned writing and reading. As he became older he found his love for traveling the world. Starting with hitchhiking through Europe he soon found himself traveling up to 20 countries a year. He earns the money for this trips with selling his photographs or producing image spots for clients he meets on the way. In 2008 he started studying media design at the HDU Deggendorf, spending one semester abroad in Melbourne and continuing with a Master Degree in Film at the University for Applied Sciences Salzburg.

Making movies, especially documentaries, is my way of trying to show people how the world is working and open their eyes for the "big thing" behind everything...and hopefully to make it a better place.
