WHAT I BELIEVE

A provincial priest, Father Andrei, in his free time digs up the graves of priests in the summer cottage village and the foundations of an ancient church. Excavation of bones and passion for philosophy cause a conflict with the church leadership. Only the local freaks admire and support him.

ALEXANDER ZUBOVLENKO

Alexander Zubovlenko was born in 1991 in Mazyr, Belarus. In 2012 he moved to Moscow and joined B. Karadzhev’s and E. Reznikov’s non-fiction films workshop at VGIK. During his studies he directed four films (Carpe Diem, Cinderella, Extras. Close-up, Lessons in Courage). In 2018 he graduated from the School of Documentary Film and Documentary Theater run by M. Razbezhkina and M. Ugarov (Magic Pill, Kolya as the Mirror of the Russian Revolution).
