Born in Moscow, graduate of the humanities department of the Moscow State University, majored in German Impressionism and Russian literature of the early 20 century. Studied at the Hamburg Film School. 

 

Has written about cinema and theatre for such editions as Kommersant, Vedomosti, Seance, Harper's Bazaar, etc.
