Producer of independent documentary, short and fiction films.

 

After graduating in Film Studies from the University of Vienna, Elsa started her second study at the Film Academy in Baden-Württemberg. As an author and producer, she has realized numerous short and documentary films that have been shown and awarded worldwide. 

 

Her diploma film Nebel (2014), which she produced, received an honorable mention at the Berlinale and was screened in Locarno, at Visions du Réel and many other festivals. 

 

Elsa founded the Vienna based production company RAUMZEITFILM together with Levin Peter in 2016 and and has successfully released several short & documentary films since then.

 

Her directing debut Space Dogs, a documentary following the descendants of Laika, the first living being sent into space, premiered in 2019 and earned many prestigious awards, such as Golden Leopard, Youth Jury Award and a Special Mention at Locarno International Film Festival, Best Feature at FIDOCS, Vienna Film Award and ExtraVALUE Film Award at Viennale, among a number of others.
