Founder of the Documentary Film Center (DFC) and online documentary streaming platform Nonfiction.film, producer.

 

Graduated from the the Moscow State University with a degree in Television. For more than ten years she worked as an editor-in-chief on Russian federal TV channels and producer of documentaries.

 

In 2012, Sofia has founded the Documentary Film Center in Moscow, in 2018 launched the Nonfiction.film online platform for viewing Russian and foreign documentaries, as well as the Mart project, a non-profit non-state fund for supporting contemporary Russian culture abroad.

 

DFC is the first and only Russian cinema theatre for documentaries, a brand new cultural and educational venue and an independent buying and distribution company.
